What I actually do

I did my development internship at Expert Choice CIS — ООО «Эксперт Чойс СиАйЭс» — building the back-end of a system the company actually runs, and learning how real software gets planned, reviewed and shipped by a team.
Since then I've shipped work people use every day: a live e-commerce store, a Windows app with its own installer, a deployed full-stack site. Before university I ran my own eBay store for two years with 100% positive reviews — which taught me what I still care about most: software isn't finished when the code works, it's finished when a stranger can use it without you there.

started
From one crowded desk to a setup that keeps up
It started at a single old wooden desk with everything crowded onto it — notebooks, printouts, cables and an old laptop already past its best. As the workload grew and I took on more projects, that setup stopped keeping up, so I upgraded both: a proper desk and a far more powerful computer. The equipment was never what mattered — it just stopped getting in the way.
Russian, from zero
I studied Russian on the preparatory language programme at the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Bethlehem, Palestine. Alongside the fundamentals of the language we were taught Russia's culture, history and traditions — preparation for the country, not just the grammar. It gave me a foundation solid enough to carry me through the Preparatory Year in Kursk and into a Russian university, and to settle into academic life here with real confidence.

But the years here taught me far more than the syllabus: academic work and extracurricular activities, technical skills and personal ones, and a lot of experience alongside people from very different backgrounds. University widened how I see things and got me ready for a professional career.
The library's computer room
I spent a good part of my time in the computer section of the library. It was quiet, and it was the one place I could sit down and work for hours without a single distraction.
